The conference is HMUN's first trial outside the United State, and, in fact, the first time outside Harvard's home city of Boston. This unique venture has attracted more than 1,000 participants from all over China and 50 from other countries.

Weland International plays a fundamental role in promoting and organizing this event by providing professional staff in various fields. Most importantly, Weland recruited outstanding students throughout China as Assistant Directors for committee meetings. They are respectively assigned to HMUN-China's thirteen committees.
