French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner firmly condemned the explosion in Russia on Monday morning that killed at least 35 people in the metro.
"France condemn the terrorist attack with the greatest firmness and assure Russia the total solidarity at this tragic ordeal," the minister said in a statement.
"We would like to see everything possible done so that the authors of these cruel acts are arrested and respond for their crimes before justice," he added.
A series of suicide bombing rocked Moscow metro Monday morning, killing at least 37 people and injuring 33 on two packed train in the rush hour, according to officials.
Chechen separatists were reportedly blamed for that attack.
