White House on Monday cast doubt on Iran's rhetoric on nuclear program that it is going to start working on a new uranium enrichment plant, saying its rhetoric does not always meet their capability.

"I would point out, the rhetoric of Iran and their nuclear program does not always meet the reality of what they're capable of," said White House spokesman Robert Gibbs.

"I think Iran routinely makes pronouncements and statements about a whole host of their programs that may or may not actually meet the facts of what they're capable of doing," he said.

Nonetheless, Gibbs said that Iran continued to fail to live up to the important obligations that they signed years ago.

A senior advisor to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the Iranian chief executive has approved the site for a new uranium enrichment facility, the local Press TV reported on Monday.
