An earthquake measuring 6.4 magnitude on the Richter scale struck offshore Bio-Bio, Chile on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) reported on its website.
The USGS said the epicenter was located 55 kilometers south to Lebu, capital of Arauco Province, eighth region of Bio Bio, 82 kilometers southwest to Concepcion, with a depth of 20.6 km.
Concepcion was hit on Feb. 27 by an earthquake measuring 8.8 degree, which at that time killed about 500 people.
Meanwhile, the Chilean National Emergency Office said that to the moment there were not reports of damage or victims, nor impacts to the basic services.
There also registered two other aftershocks on Monday.
