The Thai government Friday gave 60,000 U.S. dollars to help with flood relief in south China.
Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Hu Zhengyue accepted the fund, which was given by Piamsak Milintachinda, Thai ambassador to China, on behalf of the Thai government.
Hu thanked the Thai government on behalf of the Chinese government and said the donation would be delivered to those affected by the floods.
At least 135 people had been confirmed dead and 41 are missing, as some of the worst flooding in years continues in south China.
About 113,000 homes have been destroyed and more than 1.2 million people relocated.
Direct economic losses are estimated at about 26 billion yuan (3.8 billion U.S. dollars).
