Two pilots die in Greek military helicopter crash

An Apache AH-64 helicopter of the Greek armed forces crashed on Friday in Megara, near Athens, killing the two-member crew on board.

According to early information released by military sources, the pilots tried to make a forced landing in an airport 42 km west of the Greek capital, but the helicopter crashed and was set on fire.

The reasons of the tragedy are still unclear. According to initial estimations of experts, it was probably caused due to mechanical problems.
