Lebanese Foreign Affairs Minister Ali Shami said on Tuesday that the ministry is to file a complaint against the Israeli spying network in Lebanon before the UN Security Council.
"The Foreign Ministry received from Interior, Justice, Defense and Telecommunication Ministries all available information related to the Israeli spying network in Lebanon," Shami told reporters.
"Collaborators' dossier has been finalized and the Ministry is willing to file a complaint before the Security Council in cooperation with all concerned ministries," he added.
Meanwhile, Lebanese Government Commissioner to the military court Magistrate Saqr Saqr pressed charges of spying for Israel against retired military general Fayez Karam.
State-run National News Agency (NNA) said Saqr accused Karam of dealing with the Israeli Mossad secret service, meeting with Israeli officers abroad, as well as providing data on the Shiite group Hezbollah and other Lebanese parties.
Karam is facing death penalty.
According to the ministry of justice, more than 150 spies working for Israel were arrested in Lebanon since 2009.
