6.4-magnitude quake strikes off Mexico's west coast

A magnitude-6.4 earthquake stroke off western Mexican coastal state of Jalisco Monday night, said the National Seismology Service (SSN).

The tremor took place at 9:11 p.m. local time (0211 GMT Tuesday) 330 km southeast of Chihuatlan, a Pacific resort, with a depth of 20 km, said the SSN.

There have been no reports of injury or serious property damage from the thinly-populated Pacific coast of Jalisco.
