Russia on Wednesday passed to Poland documents related to the April crash in which a Polish governmental delegation perished when their plane landed in Russian western town of Smolensk.

Representatives of the International Aviation Committee (IAC) handed to the Polish side original documentation from the presidential TU-154 plane and those found on the crash site, investigation materials and other papers, news agencies reported.

These materials have been delivered to the plenipotent representative of Poland, Edmund Klich.

Currently IAC was preparing one more volume of documentation the Polish side has been requesting.

The crash happened on April 10 when the plane carrying former Polish President Lech Kaczynsky and 95 other officials was trying to land amid a thick fog. All people aboard died.
