An Indian military's two-seater trainer Chetak helicopter Friday crashed in the southern city of Bangalore during a routine sortie, injuring the pilot and the trainee pilot, sources said.

"The crash happened at the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited Rotary wing this morning just moments after its take-off. The two pilots sustained injuries and have been admitted to a local hospital," the sources said.

A probe has been ordered into the incident, the sources added.
