Two people were killed and nine others were injured in three bomb attacks in Baghdad on Saturday and Sunday, an Interior Ministry source said.
A sticky bomb attached to an employee's car in al-Risafa prison service exploded on Sunday morning in Doura district in southern Baghdad, killing the driver and wounding two passersby, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
Two roadside bombs went off simultaneously on Saturday night in the al-Hurriyah neighborhood, killing a civilian and wounding seven others, the source said.
Sporadic attacks are still common in Iraq as security conditions deteriorated recently, which shaped a setback to the efforts of the Iraqi government to restore normalcy in the country days after the U.S. military formally announced withdrawal of its combat troops from the war-torn country.
