All the evidences so far clearly show that the mail bombs in Athens has nothing to do with international terrorism, Greek Foreign Minister Dimitris Droutsas told foreign media in Athens on Wednesday.

During the past two days, more than 10 parcel bombs which were mailed to foreign leaders and embassies in Athens have been found.

Droutsas said Greek authorities are very efficient and did a good job in reacting to the mail bombs. After finding three parcels addressed to embassies on Monday afternoon, Greek Foreign Ministry immediately informed all the foreign embassies and asked them to be particular cautious in the days to come in receiving suspicious parcels and letters.

Thanks to the close cooperation, Swiss, German, Russian and Bulgarian embassies were able to intercept mail bombs on Tuesday, the minister said.

When asked of the damages to the image of Greece, Droutsas said: "Those acts are done are by a very small part of the Greek society that are extremists. This has nothing to do with the real Greek society."

"I believe that the international arena will realize this and accept efforts of Greece and Greek people in addressing the economic challenge that the country is facing as well as the efforts of the Greek people to reshape the country and to create a new Greece," said Droutsas.

Droutsas said that the international opinions do acknowledge that Greece has taken steps.
