Former Cuban leader Fidel Castro said the credibility of the United States is "diminishing" as it tried to force its own measures upon other countries in recent diplomatic activities.

The measures were not necessarily in the interest of other countries and only serves Washington's own purpose, Castro commented in an article published on Monday.

He also criticized Barack Obama for offering UN Security Council seats to some countries during the U.S. president's recent Asian trip.
