On Friday afternoon, Israeli F-16 warplanes carried out three successive airstrikes on three separate targets located near the eastern borders of the Gaza Strip with Israel, wounding at least six Palestinians and destroying a house, according to medical sources and witnesses.

The witnesses said an Israeli F-16 warplane struck an empty area east of al-Bureij refugee camp in east Gaza Strip, adding that another airstrike targeted a house east of central Gaza Strip town of Deir e-Ballah, wounding at least five civilians.

They also said that the Israeli war jets struck a third target east of southern Gaza Strip town of Khan Younis, wounding at least one person. Adham Abu Selmia, spokesman of the medical services in the health ministry of the deposed Hamas government said that six people were injured in Israeli assaults.

Hamas security sources in Gaza said that Hamas police has evacuated most of its buildings, police stations and security headquarters in fear of being targeted by Israel, adding that the airstrikes on Gaza on Friday were a response to the earlier Grad and mortar attacks on southern Israel.

Meanwhile, in the West Bank, a Palestinian was injured by a rubber bullet while dozens suffered suffocation during the weekly Palestinian protest against the separation wall that Israel builds in the West Bank and against the expansion of settlement.

Palestinian witnesses and medical sources said that the Israeli army forces dispersed by force dozens of Palestinians backed by foreign peace activists, who were demonstrating in the village of Bel'ein, west of the city of Ramallah in the West Bank, adding that many people got hurt during the protests.

The demonstrators waved Palestinian flags and chanted slogans against Israel, the settlement and the separation wall, calling for the release of Palestinian prisoners.

The Palestinians have been organizing weekly protests over the past six years since Israel decided to build the 700 km cement wall, which obstructs according to Palestinian officials the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
