Jordan's health authorities confirmed on Wednesday its first death case of influenza A/H1N1 for the year 2010.
The victim, a 32-year-old man, was admitted to hospital on Dec. 20 after exhibiting symptoms of the A/H1N1 virus, Jordan's health ministry said in a statement, adding the patient had been in a very critical health condition and was put under intensive monitoring.
As of Wednesday, the number of A/H1N1 flu cases registered in the country reached seven since the discovery of the first case in early December.
