At least nine anti-government protesters were injured in live bullets by security forces when the former marched and tried to take over the governmental finance office in Yemen's southern province of Taiz on Thursday, local doctors and witnesses said.

The protesters attempted to seize several local government buildings, the central security and the republican guard then responded with live bullets and tear gas, leaving at least nine protesters injured and another 20 suffered suffocation.
