U.S. denies Clinton wants World Bank presidency

U.S. officials had denied that State Secretary Hillary Clinton wants to be the next president of the World Bank, U.S. media reported on Friday.
The denial came after a recent Reuters story said, quoting unnamed sources, that Clinton is considering a job as World Bank president next year, replacing current president Robert Zoellick.
However, Philippe Reines, Clinton's aide, said that the story is "completely untrue," according to The Washington Post.
"To be crystal clear, Secretary Clinton has not had any conversations with the president, the White House or anyone about moving to the World Bank," Reines said in a statement.
"She has expressed absolutely no interest in the job. She would not take it if offered," he added.
The White House also denied such speculation. White House spokesman Jay Carney said that the story is "completely untrue."
Clinton has publicly said that she will step down as state secretary in 2012, which prompted a lot of speculations on her next job.
