Yemeni Vice President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi on Wednesday met with opposition leaders to follow up the implementation of the rest terms of the truce deal they agreed earlier this month, the state-run Saba news agency reported.
Hadi discussed with the opposition leaders the mechanism of implementing the rest agreed terms, including ending manifestation of armed groups, dislodging armed tribesmen from the capital Sanaa and other major cities, terminating acts of banditry and repairing the damaged oil pipeline, according to Saba.
The agency said the meeting did not deal with any political issues about power transition.
President Ali Abdullah Saleh, being treated in Saudi Arabia for injuries from an attack on his Presidential Palace earlier this month, faced growing internal and external pressures to step down.
Government officials said Saleh is in good health and will resume his constitutional position as the president of the country soon.
