On August 1, 2011, Marion Boers, president of International Federation of Translators (FIT) presented a medal of honor to Huang Youyi, former FIT vice president, for his contributions to the federation over the past nine years. [Photo: Wang Qian / China.org.cn]



Huang Youyi, vice president of China International Publishing Group (CIPG), was honored by the International Federation of Translators (FIT) during the opening ceremony of the group's 19th World Congress on August 1 in San Francisco.

At the ceremony, FIT President Marion Boers presented Huang with a golden pin to honor his contributions to the federation over the past nine years.

Huang, a former FIT vice president, led CIPG's delegation to this year's Congress and was interviewed by China Daily, China Radio International and Beijing Review. China Daily published an exclusive interview of Huang to commemorate the CIPG delegation's visit.

Huang also gave the keynote address at the Congress's opening ceremony.

CIPG is a multimedia group dedicated to publishing the latest news and cultural information about China.
