Up to 13,000 police officers will be on duty in London in next 24 hour to calm the riots, said the Metropolitan Police on Wednesday morning.
Last three night saw the worst situation British police officers had to deal with in recent years, with looting, fires and disorder spreading from London to other cities.
The Metropolitan Police have been receiving aid from their colleagues
in other parts of the country and using armored vehicles to support officers on the ground to clear areas of violence.
About 6,000 police officers were deployed in London on Monday night, but they were unable to contain the violence as it broke out right across the capital.
"We have been making arrests all evening and have a team working during the night examining CCTV images. We will follow up evidence in the coming days in order to bring anyone else responsible for criminal acts to justice." said the London police from a statement.
"We continue to have the plans and resources in place to respond to any further disorder, deal with normal policing across the city and keep Londoners safe." the Metropolitan Police added.
More than 450 people had been arrested in London over the three nights of violence, and Scotland Yard said cells in police stations in the capital were now full, with prisoners being transferred to neighboring forces.
