Eleven people on board were injured in an "inappropriate" passenger plane landing in Iran's northeastern city of Mashhad Sunday, the local ISNA news agency reported.
The incident happened early Sunday morning when the plane's front part hit the ground while landing, said the report.
The chief of Medical Emergency Center of Mashhad, Reza Vafainejad, told ISNA that three of the injured were taken to the hospital and eight others with minor injuries were treated at the site.
According to the English-language satellite Press TV, Mahan Air Flight 613 carrying 230 passengers took off from Tehran and headed for Mashhad. The aircraft's front wheel's tire was blown off when it touched the runway at Mashhad's Shahid Hashemi Nejad International Airport.
It was the latest mishap for the Iranian aviation industry. In early January, at least 77 people were killed and 27 others injured when an Iranian passenger plane crashed near the northwestern city of Urmiyeh in Iran's West Azerbaijan province, said Press TV.
