The missing plane of Nepal army has been confirmed to be crashed Tuesday evening, according to the spokesperson of the Nepal Army Ramindra Chettri.
The plane with six people on board bound to the capital Kathmandu from the local city Nepalgunj was out of contact since 7: 05 p.m. local time, and crashed at the remote Dhorpata of the Baglung District, some 180 km west of the Kathmandu valley.
Talking with Xinhua via telephone, Ramindra Chettri said that a team of Nepal Army officials, police personnel and locals has been moved from Dhorpatan to the site.
A helicopter went down with flames after hitting a hill, local media ABC TV cited local people in Dhorpatan as saying.
According to Chettri, there is no verification that the people on board died, because no one has reached the site of the accident.
"The night-vision helicopters that were about to fly from Kathmandu could not take off due to the weather so local officials in the area have been deployed for the rescue efforts," Chettri said.
This is the second crash in Nepal in a month. On Sept. 25, air crash in the Kathmandu valley left all 19 people on board dead.
