The Syrian government fully accepted a peace plan put forward by the Arab League (AL) to end the crisis in the country without any reservation, the Qatari foreign minister said here after an extraordinary meeting on Wednesday.

The Arab peace plan calls for stopping violence and withdrawing the military vehicles from Syrian streets in addition to releasing detainees and holding dialogue between Syrian authorities and the opposition at the AL headquarters.

AL held an extraordinary meeting on the level of Arab foreign ministers Wednesday to discuss the Syrian government's response to the Arab peace plan.
