A light plane crashed in Paranaque City in Philippines' capital region of Metro Manila at around 2:45 p.m. Saturday, killing 4 people, local radio dzMM reported.

The plane crashed in Better Living Subdivision, Taiwan St. shortly after taking off. The pilot of the plane has requested an emergency landing before it crashed, the report said.

The crash caused damage to an elementary school and some buildings nearby.

Emergency personnel of Manila International Airport Authorities (MIAA) are on their way to the crash site.
