At least two children were killed and 13 other people sustained injuries when a remote control bomb went off near a house of a tribal elder in Pakistan's northwest Landi Kotal district on Saturday, reported local media APP.
According to the Political Administration, people were coming out from the tribal elder's house after attending a Jirga at Fatmikhel area of Khogakhel in Landikotal, a district close to the Afghan border, when the remote control blast occurred.
Five of the injured were stated to be in critical condition. Officials of Khassadar Force shifted the victims to the Agency Headquarters Hospital in Landikotal.
Hospital sources said that 15 injured in the blast were brought to the hospital among which a young boy and girl succumbed to injuries while five critical injured were referred to a hospital in Peshawar.
