At least 23 people were killed and an unknown number of others injured when a suicide blast occurred near a mosque in Pakistan's northwestern tribal area of Khyber Agency on Friday afternoon, reported local media.
The blast took place when a suicide bomber blew himself up in front of a mosque while people were coming out from the mosque after Friday prayers, local Urdu TV channel ARY quoted unidentified sources as saying.
The mosque is located in the Tirah Valley area of Khyber Agency, a tribal area near the Afghanistan border.
Pakistan Taliban has claimed the responsibility for the attack shortly after the blast.
