At least 13 militant were killed in a suicide blast that took place on Friday afternoon in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of Khyber Agency which borders Afghanistan, reported local media.
Local Urdu TV channels Dunya and ARY both reported that 13 people were killed when a suicide bomber hit a center of Lashkar-e- Islam, a banned militant group, in the Akkakhel area of Bara in Khyber Agency.
Some local media said that five were killed and seven to eight others were injured in the suicide blast.
The identity of the suicide bomber is not known at this point. No group has claimed the responsibility for the attack yet.
There have been a series of conflicts between Pakistan Taliban and Lashkar-e-Islam in the tribal areas in struggle for influence in these areas.
Last month dozens of Lashkar-e-Islam fighters were killed in a suicide blast that took place in front of a mosque after Friday afternoon prayer in the neighbouring tribal area of Kurram Agency.
