Iranian FM says hopeful about nuclear talks with P5+1

Iranian Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi said Wednesday that he is hopeful about the results of next round of nuclear talks between Iran and five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany (P5+1), which is scheduled to on May 23 in Baghdad, the semi-official Mehr news agency reported.
"Before (the Istanbul talks on April 14) I announced that I am hopeful about Iran's negotiations with the P5+1, now I am also hopeful about the future talks between Iran and this group which are going to be held in Baghdad," Salehi was quoted as saying.
The latest Iranian nuclear talks concluded in Istanbul Saturday, with both Iran and the six world powers describing them as positive and constructive.
The six P5+1 members, the United States, France, Russia, China, Britain and Germany, have spearheaded diplomatic efforts to persuade Iran to limit its nuclear program, which Iran says is purely peaceful but the West suspect has military purposes.
