Pentagon supplier Northrop Grumman has announced that it will conduct flight test of its X-47B unmanned combat aircraft developed for the U.S. Navy on aircraft carriers some time in 2013.
Dubbed a B-2 miniature, the X-47B resembles the Northrop's stealth bomber in shape but is smaller, and its size rivals the Navy's F/A-18E/F Super Hornet that is already in commission.
At present, Northrop Grumman has built two X-47B drones with joint unmanned combat air systems (J-UCAS).
