Tadahiro Matushita, Japanese minister for post reform, and concurrently minister of state for financial services, was found dead at home in Tokyo Monday, local media reported.
Matushita, 73, was found fell on the ground of his own mansion at 5:00 local time. He was confirmed dead upon arrival at the hospital.
The circumstances pointed to a possible suicide, but the cause of his death is under investigation, said Tokyo Metropolitan Police.
Tadahiro Matushita, a member of the People's New Party, partner of the ruling Democratic Party, was appointed a minister in the cabinet reshuffle at early June.
