China supports development of Nepal-India ties

Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Yang Houlan on Friday reiterated that China would not interfere into Nepal's internal affairs and would continue to support the development of Nepal-India relations.
Speaking at an interaction organized by the Reporter's Club Nepal in Kathmandu, Yang said that China has always placed the good-neighborly friendship policy in a very important position in its foreign relations and that the recent 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has further focused on promoting cooperation with other countries.
"I believe that the direction and goals established by the 18th CPC National Congress will enlarge the space for bilateral cooperation between our two countries, and with the constant attention and commitment of the two governments and peoples to the Sino-Nepalese relations, bilateral relations will gain a new development impetus," he said.
Responding to a question regarding China's interest in Nepal- India relations, the ambassador said that China has always supported the relationship between Nepal and India and it will continue to do so in the days to come.
Saying that a trilateral relationship between China, India and Nepal is beneficial to all three countries, Yang also refuted the rumor that China takes exception to India's influence in Nepal.
"China has never interfered into Nepal-India relations. Rather, China would be pleased to cooperate with India for Nepal's broader development," the Chinese envoy said.
