Myanmar government and the Pa-O National Liberation Organization (PNLO) have agreed to start political dialogue in the next round of talks, official media reported Sunday.

It was agreed at a peace talk held between the government's central peace-making work committee, led by its vice chairman U Aung Min, and PNLO Chairman Colonel Khun Okka at Myanmar Peace Center in Nay Pyi Taw on Saturday, said the New Light of Myanmar.

The two sides reached an agreement on 10 issues including relief, social affairs, anti-drug and regional development and continued ceasefire.

In August 2012, the two sides held central level peace talks in Taunggyi, Shan state of the country, producing an eight-point agreement on establishment of liaison offices, coordination on location of PNLO troops, cooperation in fight against narcotic drugs, matters of media, food supplies, public security and basic agriculture.

The government claimed that so far, 10 out of 11 ethnic armed groups have singed preliminary peace pacts with the government at state or central levels since President U Thein Sein announced offering of peace talks with ethnic armed groups in August 2011.
