Media workshop between China and Myanmar

Major media outlets from China and Myanmar held a colloquium themed "Exchange and Cooperation between China and Myanmar Media in the Age of Changes" in Yangon, the largest city in Myanmar, on April 1.

The attending media outlets agreed that the media in both nations should communicate and interact more, further strengthen their cooperation, share media resources, create a sound media environment, and contribute to cementing friendship between the two nations.

Chinese ambassador to Myanmar Yang Houlan presided over the colloquium. Cui Yuying, deputy director of China's State Council Information Office, had in-depth discussions with media representatives. Cui said in conclusion that the communication and cooperation between the media from both nations are important for the ongoing "Experience China" program in Myanmar, and are conducive to the mutual understanding and friendship between the people of both nations.

Media outlets attending the colloquium include the People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, China Central Television and the Guang Ming Daily from China, and the Yangon Times, Union Daily, Popular News and Sky Net from Myanmar.
