An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale jolted 98km SE of Kuril'sk, Russia at 18:32:48 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 70.0 km, was initially determined to be at 44.5985 degrees north latitude and 148.748 degrees east longitude.
