Embattled Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi paid a visit on Saturday to a school in the capital Tripoli, official news agency Jana reported.
The agency said the so-called school is located in an area known as Zanata "whose sound barrier has been violated by NATO airplanes."
The world's major powers, the UK, the U.S. and France, started on March 19 to launch strikes from the air and sea against Gaddafi 's forces after the UN Security Council passed a resolution to impose a no-fly zone over Libya and authorize "all necessary measures" to protect civilians in Libya.
State-run Libyan TV also showed footage of Gaddafi at the school where students shouted slogans against the West and carried photos of Gaddafi.
