Chinese actress Eva Huang, or Huang Shengyi, who rose to fame in Stephen Chow's "Kung Fu Hustle" has found herself a new mission -- practicing Taiji for her new TV series "The Legacy of Guangfu Taiji".
The story centres around the promotion of the traditional Chinese exercise of Taiji, the TV series will star Eva Huang and Yang Zi, who is also Huang's agent. Cao Rong, director of the renowned Chinese classic "Pilgrimage to the West", will join as the series' director.
To give audiences an authentic representation of such a profound martial arts, the production team has invited Wang Shaojun, the champion of five national Taiji competitions, to teach the actors their moves.
By introducing Chinese Taiji to the world, the series is a tribute to the 2008 Beijing Olympics, said Du Jun, the shows producer.
