A flight of Kuwait Airways (KAC) made an emergency landing Monday night in Ras al-Khaimah airport of United Arab Emirate (UAE), Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported Tuesday.
Amar al-Ajmi, Rapid response team director of KAC, was quoted as saying that the Dubai-bound Airbus-A320 suffered a machinery failure when it was landing.
He explicated that the pilot then had to make an emergency landing as landing gear of the plane was stuck, which prevented a wheel from extending normally.
Because of high traffic at Dubai airport at the moment, the plane, with 113 passengers and seven crew members onboard, was diverted to Ras al-Khaimah.
Passengers exited through the emergency exits after the plane had safely landed, several of them were injured in the process, al- Ajmi said.
All the injured passengers have been received medical attention upon landing, added al-Ajmi.
