Legendary American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan will launch an Asian tour in April with stops in China and South Korea on the schedule, the AFP reported Wednesday.
Dylan, a musical dynamo for five decades, will perform a show in Taipei on April 2 after completing his tour of Japan, the AFP cites the Taipei-based entertainment company Brokers Brothers Herald as saying.
The 68-year-old folk-rock icon will then appear in Beijing on April 4, the AFP says, with shows in Shanghai on April 6 and Hong Kong on April 8. He will also visit Seoul, with the date yet to be specified.
However, Dylan's personal Web site only has information about his Japan gigs, which the site says are "confirmed tour dates." According to the schedule, Dylan will stage 12 shows in Japan from March 12 to 29.
The Shanghai Morning Post reported Thursday, also citing Brokers Brothers Herald, that Dylan is still seeking venues and sponsors for his shows in Beijing and Shanghai.
Bob Dylan, with talents ranging from singing and songwriting to guitar and piano, has won numerous awards including Grammy, Golden Globe and Academy Awards.
