Chinese singer Dave Wong, also known as Wang Jie, is preparing for his upcoming solo concert, which may be his farewell show to the music world, the Beijing Times reports.

"After the show this time, I hope my fans can allow me to take a break. I want to take time to do things I like," the 48-year-old told reporters during an interview. Wong said that he will write songs for a new album, which will be his last.

The solo concert is set for August 7 at Beijing's Wukesong Arena.

Wong started his singing career in 1988 with his debut album "A Game A Dream". He became famous in the late 1980s and early 1990s. His popular hits include "A Game A Dream", "Bits of Sadness, Bits of Craze", "Forget You Forget Me" and "Annie".
