Taiwan singing sensation Tsai Chin is preparing for a series of solo concerts, which will be staged in Shanghai and Beijing in November, the Star Daily reports.
Tsai Chin started her singing career in the 1970s, and over the past 40 years has produced numerous hits and won a solid fan base. This time, in the upcoming concerts, the singer will not only perform her own pieces but also focus on some oldies that achieved fame in the 60s.
To formulate the idea for the concerts, Tsai Chin watched many old films produced in Hong Kong in the 1960s and finally made her song list. Old melodies like "Beside the Suzhou River" ("Suzhou He Bian"), "Evening Bell at Nanping Hill" ("Nanping Wan Zhong") and "River of Tears" ("Xiang Si He Pan") will be heard during the shows. The concert series will kick off in Shanghai on November 6, and it will move to Beijing on November 20.
