During last year's May Day holidays, the first Zebra Music Festival took Chengdu by storm: In three days, it had become China's biggest music festival, with 150,000 visitors. Zebra has decided to leave its Chengdu homeland in the search of new, fresh terrain with Zebra Music Festival Hangzhou scheduled from October 2-4.

After repeated success during the May Day holidays, Zebra Hangzhou will be held at Phoenix International Design Gardens, 20 kilometers away from downtown.

Coinciding with numerous music festivals in other parts of China including Modern Sky and Snow Mountain, this year's lineup is heavier on pop and folk music. Local rocker Zhang Chu, Taiwanese pop/rock musician Chang Chen Yue, rapper MC Hot Dog and folk singer Deserts Chang will all take to the stage in Hangzhou.

Together with popular rock bands The Catcher in the Rye and Mr. Chelonian, the lineup hopes to ensure that the festival caters to the tastes of modern youth, rock lovers and artistic audiences.

With the theme Change for Easy Life, Zebra Music Hangzhou will also bring together artists, performers and audiences in a massive on-site exchange of used goods to encourage smart, healthy and sustainable lifestyles.
