The city of Beijing is one of the stars in the sequel to the hit movie, "If You Are The One," which put Japan's Hokkaido on the map for Chinese travelers.

Beijing Tourism Administration was the partner of Huayi Brothers Media Group in production of the film, which features attractions such as the Tanzhe Temple, Mutianyu Great Wall, said a statement from Huayi.

"The tourism administration supported the filming of these attractions and the movie promotion. Although it is not clear whether people will be drawn to these places after watching the movie, the cooperation model between government organs and movie producers is innovative," said Zhang Huiguang, head of the administration.

The 2008 romantic comedy "If You Are The One" earned 364 million yuan (54.8 U.S. dollars) at the box office. It was directed by Feng Xiaogang and starred mainland comedian Ge You and Taiwan actress Hsu Chi.

It told the story of Qin Fen, played by Ge, who posted an online thread titled "If you are the one" to look for a girlfriend and subsequently met Liang Xiaoxiao, played by Hsu. Qin helped Liang to get over a married man and their friendship blossomed into love during a trip to Hokkaido.

The sequel begins with Qin and Liang living together, only to find the two growing apart. While saying farewell to a dying mutual friend, the two fall in love again. It will be released on Dec. 22.
