A porn star who locked herself in the bathroom last month in the midst of a drunken rampage by actor Charlie Sheen at New York's Plaza Hotel said on Monday she will file civil charges against the actor for assault.
Capri Anderson accused the "Two and a Half Men" star of grabbing her around the neck and throwing things at her.
"I never expected that the night would unfold the way it did," Anderson told TV chat show "Good Morning America" on Monday. She said would file a lawsuit in Los Angeles civil court later on Monday for false imprisonment and assault.
In October, Sheen was found by police acting drunk and incoherent in a hotel suite that had broken furniture. He was taken to a hospital but was not arrested and no criminal charges were filed against him.
Sheen's publicist said on Monday that Anderson's allegations were "completely false" and accused her of concocting a story for money.
"Ms. Capri never made any allegation to the police of any wrongful conduct on the part of Mr. Sheen the night of the incident and she had every opportunity to do so She also posted on her website that she was 'fine'," the actor's publicist said in a statement.
"If she pursues legal action, we will defend this vigorously. These allegations against Mr. Sheen are completely false, and are a blatant attempt to cash in on his celebrity," the statement added.
Anderson told the "Good Morning America" on Monday she was promised $3500 to make a "dinner appearance" at a New York restaurant. She said the 45-year-old actor became increasingly intoxicated at the restaurant, speaking in a "vulgar" way while making several trips to the bathroom.
When they returned to the hotel, she said he snorted a "white powdery substance," before she initially, willingly began to have "a little bit of romance".
"When I became really uncomfortable was when he put his hands around my neck, but at that point things began to very rapidly, kind of fall apart, and just really get out of hand," Anderson said.
Anderson said Sheen began to throw things at her, including a lamp, and she locked herself in the bathroom and called a friend.
Asked why she did not initially report what happened to the police, she said she was "shaken up."
"I was crying, I was embarrassed that I was in my underwear when they came in, initially," she said, adding that she never discussed payment for sex, and never received any payment.
Sheen, whose "Two and a Half Men" is the top-rated comedy on U.S. television, pleaded guilty in August to assaulting his third wife, Brooke Mueller, in December 2009, and was sentenced to drug and alcohol rehab and three months probation.
Sheen filed for divorce from Mueller on November 1.
