Beijing-based Israeli singer-songwriter Erez Eisenman will launch his farewell performance at Beijing's Yugong Yishan tomorrow night before making a long-term move to New York.
The songwriter made his debut as a singer several months ago when he was inspired to start his own band. Since then, the trio has performed his hard-rock songs regularly around the city and made a name for itself with Eisenman's deep voice and moving lyrics.
Though he said it's been a challenge to find a niche for his music, which is still relatively new to Chinese ears, he said his reception has been overwhelmingly positive.
"The audience is always very interested and eager to hear more," he said. "I am very happy to have been a part of an evolving music scene here, with the feeling of creating something new and of musicians supporting each other."
