Most drug-using celebrities recently exposed were 40-something men with waning careers, according to the Legal Mirror.

For example, Mok, 50, enjoyed mass popularity in the early 1990s, but his career has almost collapsed over the last 15 years, the Beijing-based paper reported.

Celebrity drug culture is a global phenomenon: One of the most famous cases involved 14-time Olympic gold medal winner Michael Phelps smoking marijuana in 2009.

In an apology, Phelps said, "Despite the successes I have had in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner that people have come to expect from me."

US President Barack Obama told a study hall room at Manchester, Northern Hampshire's Central High School that he "got into drinking and experimenting with drugs" when he was in high school, according to MSNBC.
