Astro Boy (铁臂阿童木)

"Astro Boy," a representative work of Japanese cartoon master Osamu Tezuka, follows a robot named Astro Boy and the characters he meets during his adventures. Astro Boy is the first, most popular Japanese television series embodying the aesthetic that later became known worldwide as anime. The big-nosed Tea Doctor and the melody of the theme song-- "Flying over the broad sky, La-La-La-La to the distant stars!"—are still remembered by fans. Astro Boy is also the first Chinese comic book.
