3, Oops, he did it again!
Edison Chen has been silent for a long time since his involvement in a string of sex photos with a number of Hong Kong actresses, including Gillian Chung and Cecilia Cheung, in 2008. Edison was back in the news in 2011, but for all the same, wrong reasons.
This time, 31-year-old Chen was engulfed by a scandal involving an underage model named Cammie Tse. Tse was only 16 at the time.
Chen and Tse dated for approximately three months until Tse lost her phone, which contained intimate photos of the couple. Worse still, there were sexually explicit texts from Chen to Tse, in which he told her what to wear (school uniform, bikini, special underwear) when she visited him at his apartment. Edison's former lover Gloria Wong described the singer-actor as "sick".
During an appearance at MTV China's 2011 Style Awards held at the Beijing National Stadium, Edison Chen apologized and explained the recent events: "Seven months ago, I broke up with my girlfriend Vincy Yeung and I was actually unhappy, very lost, so I found the wrong outlet to make myself happy. This time, I did wrong; I was too stupid and put my trust in the wrong people."
In addition, Edison also reportedly bumped into former flame Cecilia Cheung when, by chance, they found themselves on the same plane. They talked and took pictures together, which allegedly led to the divorce of Cecilia and her husband Nicholas Tse.
