Chinese audiences will get their first chance to see "Sound of Music" live this year, with the offspring of the man who inspired the musical slated to tour China, said Hermark Culture, organizer of the event, Friday.

The Von Trapps, a choir group formed eleven years ago that performs traditional European and American folk songs, is made up of siblings Sofia, Melanie, Amanda and Justin von Trapp.

Their great-grandfather was Captain von Trapp, the man who served as the prototype for the stern naval officer who found love with the help of a singing nun in the 1959 Broadway musical "The Sound of Music," as well as the 1965 film adaptation.

The group's China tour starts on July 26 in Beijing, followed by another eight cities, including Dalian, Wuxi and Shanghai. The tour ends on August 12.

The tour will also feature Justin Bieber and Usher as guest vocalists.
