Qu Wanting, a Chinese-born singer-songwriter living in Canada, has been acclaimed as the latest miracle of the Chinese music industry.

During the past few months, her name and songs have been spread quickly on the Internet. You can hear her songs not only in hair salons but also restaurants and shopping malls.

Her debut album, "Everything in the World", sold well and songs from the album, including "You Exist in My Song" and "Drenched", are chart-toppers.

Her talent for writing songs in both Chinese and English has made her a promising international star. As the first Chinese artist signed to Nettwerk, Canada's largest independent record label, and managed by Terry McBride, who helped establish a number of big-name stars, such as Avril Lavigne, 28-year-old Qu Wanting has a bright future.
