She has been seeing to her father's English email exchanges and replies them through his dictation, she said.
"My father has been working hard on his English and has consulted me about learning English from time to time," she said, adding that her father shows genuine modesty when consulting her. She also said that her mother would accompany Mo on his upcoming trip of a lifetime.
In addition, Beijing's municipal authorities have stepped up efforts to track down illegal publications of Mo's books, the Beijing Times newspaper reported. On October 25, the city's publication and public security authorities busted a local book publisher and found 4,500 copies of Mo's novel, which were confirmed to be unauthorized publications. They confiscated the books and revoked the publisher's business license. On November 9, city authorities managed to shut down a book piracy operation, where they had uncovered 3,000 pirated books, 556 of which were Mo's novels. Several of those in charge of the scheme were taken into custody.
